Our protagonist, Yukina, finds herself in a hospital corridor, visiting her husband who’s laid up with a work injury. But instead of sympathy, she feels a growing sense of exasperation as she watches him shamelessly chat up every woman in sight. Again… she thinks, rolling her eyes as she ignores him and takes a seat on a bench.
That’s when a young man named Yuto appears, offering her a cup of coffee. He’s there to visit a girlfriend, and Yukina can’t help but notice how attentive and refreshingly kind he is, so different from her husband. For her, he’s a pleasant distraction, something nice to look at, a brief escape from her frustrations. But as she enjoys this little moment of relief, fate has other plans.
A flyer for a newly opened café catches her eye, advertising for part-time help. Seeking independence, she walks in—only to find Yuto behind the counter. The shop is brand new, and it’s just the two of them: Yuto as the master, and her as the new hire. What starts as a simple job for a devoted housewife spirals into a new connection.
